Warranty Terms and Conditions

Issued by: PFE Technologies Pte Ltd (operator of sola.sg)
Applies to: All products and services sold or installed by Sola in Singapore


1. Warranty Coverage

PFE Technologies Pte Ltd (“Company”) warrants that all Sola products will be free from significant defects in material and workmanship for the applicable warranty period (see Section 2). In the event of a valid warranty claim, the Company will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective product, or
  • Replace the defective product or part

All remedies are provided at no charge to the customer, subject to the terms below.

3. What the Warranty Covers

This warranty applies to:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship
  • Motor failure or mechanical failure not caused by misuse
  • Installation faults, if installed by our team
  • Structural failure of hardware (tracks, brackets, mechanisms) under normal residential use

4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, yellowing, or fraying
  • Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, or careless operation
  • Use of products outside their intended purpose or manufacturer's specifications
  • Damage from pests, pets, renovations, impact, fire, or water leakage
  • Electrical damage from faulty wiring, power surges, or inconsistent voltage
  • Smart system malfunctions caused by external devices or third-party integrations
  • Fabric imperfections such as colour variance, weave irregularities, or batch inconsistencies
  • Misalignment or sagging due to poor mounting surfaces, structural shifting, or external movement
  • Products damaged during self-installation or installations by non-authorised persons
  • Use of products outside of Singapore or for commercial/industrial purposes
  • Any costs related to dismantling, transport, or re-installation

5. Special Terms for Fabrics

Due to the nature of textile materials, fabrics are not covered under warranty. This includes:

  • Colour fading from sunlight or indoor lighting
  • Shrinkage or expansion from humidity or washing
  • Weave irregularities or texture variations that are within industry norms
  • User dissatisfaction with colour, opacity, or appearance after installation

We strongly recommend viewing physical swatches prior to confirming fabric choices.


6. Warranty Process & Conditions

  • Warranty becomes effective from the date of delivery or installation, whichever is later
  • Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser
  • Proof of purchase (e.g. invoice or order confirmation) is required for all claims
  • Company reserves the right to request photos or conduct inspections before approving claims
  • Defective items must be returned to us (or made accessible on-site) for assessment
  • If the exact product or part is no longer available, we may substitute it with an equivalent

7. Additional Limitations

  • Warranty covers only the defective product or part. It does not include:
    • Removal or reinstallation
    • Lost time or use during repair or replacement
    • Reconfiguration of smart systems, scenes, or automations
  • If a warranty claim is found invalid, we will return the product without repair. On-site inspection fees may apply.
  • Our decision on warranty validity, cause of failure, and remedy provided shall be final and binding.

8. How to File a Claim

To initiate a warranty claim:

  1. Email support@sola.sg with:
    • Your name and order/invoice number
    • Description of the issue
    • Clear photos or videos where applicable
  2. Our team will evaluate and respond with next steps.
  3. Site visits may be scheduled if needed. Charges may apply if the issue is not covered.

9. Governing Law

These Warranty Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be resolved in Singapore courts.
